GENERAL GUIDANCE FOR HOMEWORK IN ORDER TO GET FULL CREDIT

Some important announcements from your TA/grader

Students must turn in the following items:
1. Upload all your source codes (.f files) to the EEE DropBox, under the corresponding MAE 10 homework assignment folder. (See "Getting Started" section for detailed instructions.) This must be done no later than 3:30 PM on the day the homework is due. Whom you email depends on your last name (see bullet 3 below).
2. Turn in hard copies (printed copies) of your source codes (.f files) AND outputs in the dropbox on the 4^th floor of Engineering Gateway (just outside of the MAE department offices) no later than 3:30 PM on the day the homework is due.
Students must use this format to name their Fortran files:
hw#_ch#_problem#.f
For example: hw2_ch2_13.f
Please no uppercase letters.
Uploaded files must all be in Fortran file format (.f extension). No zip, text, Word, etc... files will be accepted.

Read and carefully study Chapter 1 and 2. Learn how to edit, compile and upload a FORTRAN program in your Monday, Oct. 6, discussion.

Chapter 2. Problems 3, 13, 19. (pages 106-111). Read and carefully study Chapter 3.

Chapter 3. Problems 5, 8 and 9 (pages 174-175). Read and carefully study Chapter 4.

Chapter 4. Problems 5, 15, and 17 (pages 244-246). Read and carefully study Chapter 5.

Chapter 5. Problems 2 and 6 (pages 308 and 309). Chapter 6. Problems 10 and 19. (pages 378-382). Also, the chaos problem described here. Read and carefully study Chapter 6 and 7.

Chapter 7. Problems 7, 8 and 10. (pages 461-462). Use the program that you wrote for problem 10 to find out if the number 15,485,863 is prime. (This might take a while to run depending on which computer you use to do your homework. Allocate your time wisely).
